Mac DeMarco will release his new album Guitar on August 22 on his own label, Mac’s Record Label.

Written and recorded entirely in November 2024 at his home in Los Angeles, Guitar is a personal and artisanal work. With the exception of mastering, which was handled by David Ives, Mac DeMarco did everything himself: composition, recording, mixing (done in Canada), as well as filming the music videos and creating the album artwork, using only tripods.

“Guitar is probably the closest thing to who I am today, or at least the closest I’ve been able to express,” he says. “I’m happy to share this music, and I can’t wait to play these songs everywhere.”
